Personally I would not want to travel with MSC, not a very good reputation in the cruise market. There are some other good bargins out there with better compnaies. But, at the same time it is cheap, and as long as you go realising it is not 4* or 5* then you know what to expect.

Have you ever travelled on an MSC ship?. I would disagree with you totally when you state it is not 4* or 5*. MSC have never to my knowledge claimed to be 5*!!! Travel agents are inclined to be a little guilty of rating cruise ships but they should stick to the ratings shown by the PSA which are shadowed in the Berlitz guide. Only the 2 older ships in the MSC stable fall slightly lower than 4* and purely on the basis of age. The remaining 7 ships are classical cruise ships which are elegantly furnished. You also claim they have a poor reputation!!!! I presume you mean those people who criticise announcements being made in 5 languages, the food having an Italian bias and the Italians themselves being boisterous. My only comment about those reviews is 'Why on earth did they book a cruise with an Italian shipping line?'

Fortunately the majority of people reading those reviews have the intelligence to ask this question too!

Not quite what it seems. The prices don't include flights or port taxes as far as I know.

On the face of it, an excellent deal but please remember everyone, you will have to pay for flights for ALL travellers at generally £210 (reduced sometimes to £99) so it doesn't make it quite such a brilliant deal.

Nope. I priced up their 1p deal from Copenhagen to St Petersburg 23/5/09, with Easyjet flights at £70 one way and £30 coming back. Great value at less than half the cost of the MSC flights.

Note that ships wont wait if youre not using their flights.
