Cruises for £1

Has anyone else seen this cruise for £1 offer:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/cruises/3524802/Cruise-holidays-reduced-to-1.html
Sounds like a good deal. First person pays full price but second person only pays £1. My in-laws are going on a cruise holiday and they're paying £2,000 each! I'm thinking of booking with MSC this week and only paying £750 for both hubby and I, as a birthday gift for him next year.

This was posted the other day by a spammer (not saying the OP is).
The cruise is not £1, it is £1 for the second person. This sort of misadvertising makes Ryanair's 1p deals seem like pretty good value!Gone ... or have I?0 -
This was posted by the same person this morning and i said then i always have doubts when a newbie posts things like this. I mean i know we all have to start somewhere but, im always wary of such posts. The previous post was removed by the mods earlier.
Sorry if you are a genuine person, i just dont buy it.

So it's a dead cert for inclusion as a headliner in the MSE email then? The cruise is not £1, it is £1 for the second person. This sort of misadvertising makes Ryanair's 1p deals seem like pretty good value!
The MSE Dictionary
Loophole - A word used to entice people to read clearly written Terms and Conditions.
Rip Off - Clearly written Terms and Conditions.
Terms and Conditions - Otherwise known as a loophole or a rip off.0 -
The Daily Telegraph has resorted to spamming this site
Times must be tough!0 -
I noticed this in the Daily Express on Saturday. £400 each for a cruise is still pretty good value IMHO.0

Personally I would not want to travel with MSC, not a very good reputation in the cruise market. There are some other good bargins out there with better compnaies. But, at the same time it is cheap, and as long as you go realising it is not 4* or 5* then you know what to expect.0

i looked at this briefly the other day..can you combine it with the free kids

if so 800 for 2 adults and kids would be g0ood though personally i w
ouldnt wan to spend a week on board with mine trying to jump overboard:eek:***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0 -
Hi, I posted this earlier and wasn't sure where it went, that's why I posted it again. (Also I didn't get a notification of the thread responses like most website forums?)
I'm surprised some of you think I'm a spammer, my husband absolutely loves this website - we get all our vouchers from here. I saw this MSC cruise deal on Telegraph website and was deliberating whether to buy it as a surprise gift for my husband's birthday and was hoping to get some advice whether to get it, thought this might be the place since it's a money savings deal. Also I'm new to cruising so hoping to get some real life stories from anyone here.
My ex-colleague went on MSC Poesia this year and said her family really liked it, nice ship etc. But then I see bad reviews elsewhere, such a mixed bag. Maybe I should have titled it '2nd passenger pays £1 for cruise only'...I dunno. Is that why you guys thought I was a spammer??

Hiya,
Yes I think you can combine it with free kids. Check out this article, this family seems to think it's great:

Anyhow, I don't have kids, so probably you will find it a different experience.0 -
I dont know, i guess its the new poster curse. You often have a new person who has just joined, and their first post is promoting something with a direct link to the website, as your first post that was removed was.
After having the last one removed you have come back and said the same thing using a link to the site through the Telegraph.
I think i am just wary, but understand in this climate people have to try attract customers in anyway they can. I guess it is a very cheap form of advertising, its just not really allowed on here.
Not saying that is what you have done of course.
