I love the Oldies website, my parents found their dogs on there.The only thing worse than smug married couple; lots of smug married couples.0

Have a look on https://www.dogsblog.com its a site for rescue dogs as lots of rescue organisations put their dogs on there. You can search by breed, age, sex, location, and a few other parameters.0

While being a large dog, greyhounds can be good pets for the older generation. They have very gentle natures, require little exercise/ grooming, typically sleep all day and many are very good on the lead.
I'm still middle aged, but do find being tall they are easier to stroke/put lead on etc, so i don't need to bend which is good on my dodgy back. Also being so visible i've yet to trip over the dog and i am a bit clumsy. There are often some senior hounds that are looking to return to home comforts (RGT adoption contracts require dogs to be returned if adopter can no longer provide a home for whatever reason).
