Thanks skint_catt -for posting that. Yes the total to pay off is humungous! But we're doing well and hopefully will speed up as we get past the new year/post-christmas slump!
  • Hiya - got another £32.41 to come off the total please
  • No money paid off my debts this week :'(

But I'm hoping to have a good pay-day next week and take another chunk out of it- I'll come and update this thread when I have. :) I'm still reading MSE everyday, always looking for new ways to bring my debt free status ever closer!!!

  • The money we were waiting for to arrive, has and it's cleared straight into my account. It was a one off expense claim for my DH which we had to add onto our 0% credit card. It meant that it didn't show a true figure of our debt as I'd paid the same off the card, but then it was added back on! Confusing I know, but at last it's all sorted and our debt is £6932.58!:j

This morning I've paid £1065.00 to our savings for the car loan. I had hoped to pay it off this month, but I'll be £250ish short, so will have to wait another month!

Woot on clearing Natwest but  to Next - what are they charging you £6 for? Just having the card?

I don't have a card, I've had the catalogue account for years now (I have a stupid limit of about 3400) and I've never been late with a payment but recently I've just noticed that they are charging me about £6 ish per month and calling it 'service charge' - I think it's cheeky as anything! It's tempting to put it on my credit card as its 0% and clear it off there instead - Also I hate the fact that I get charged for catalogues each time that I don't want! - im happy looking on the net if I want anything but Im not allowed to stop them! - I really should close the account but its convenient for work stuff
