I'm sorry Dragon, but as a long time user of Paypal, I have to state that you are wrong. While it is true that you have a default bank account which Paypal uses, you can also have stored many other bank accounts, debit and credit cards. Which I do have. And at your request Paypal should debit the one you choose, though you do have to choose, else paypal will the automatically debit your default account. Although in some instances you may have a back up card, which I do, which maybe used should there be insufficient funds in your default account. The thing is I had enough money on the credit card I asked Paypal to use, and enough on the back up card, but they chose to ignore my request.
I'm hoping the imdenmnity will hold up. I'm pretty mad. I've been so careful with my finances for the past couple of years, especially with avoiding bank charges. I wouldn't make a mistake like this, I have several hundred Paypal transactions under my belt and manage to juggle various cards and accounts pay for things. And very rarely do I actually use my default account.
I'll be having pretty stern words with the bank to, since my default account is one which supposedly cannot go overdrawn. Natwest Step account.
Phew, I'm ranting today.0 -
Good luck evanesco - hope you get something sorted with Paypal and/or the bank.0

Thanks Mizmir. All to no avail, both insist it's my fault. maybe it is, but I'm pretty savvy with these things, and if a DD was going out of one account and I knew there wouldn't be enough I would have transferred some from another account. Lesson learnt, triple check where the Paypal payment is going from in future.
Dragon, I'm sorry if I came across as abrupt, I was extremely frustrated earlier.0 -
Sorry to hear that evanesco - can understand your frustration. Hope the week picks up for you.0
