£2.16 off of a cc today, its a small amount because i keep my cc payments the same so when my dd comes out i top it up with what it used to take when it was at its highest
getting rid of it slowly but surely.

I have just paid £320 off of a credit card from selling something on ebay, but there is a catch just before next summer i will need to replace the thing i sold but for now my cc is £320 lighter which means less monthly interest and i am going to keep paying what i would be paying if i didnt pay off the £320 so hopefully i can get rid of some more debt this way. :j Im not going to take this off of my debt total though.Due to budget cuts the light at the end of the tunnel will be switched off.

hi everyone just bumping up this thread as i haven,t posted for a while. How is everyone doing with their debt busting targets. My efforts went a bit slowly during summer months but debt still has been heading in the right direction. As of today I have paid off a total of £2400 this year which i am well chuffed about. I have just under £800 worth of debt and I am looking at being debt free by feb 2010 but I am really going to try and bust it by 31st December. It feels great to be in the hundreds now and knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel. i have some money saved for xmas and i am hoping to have money left out of this to be able to clear debt off but if I'm unable to then i can live with being debt free in feb 2010.Mortgage free 25/9/2019 8years and 7 months early 😁😁😁0

I am not part of this thread (recently joined the forums) but seeing that you have paid off £2400 this year has given me a big boost today. I was just looking at the flippin' interest repayment on my credit card and wishing it came of the balance (don't we all!) and your post made me think I can do this!
So congratulations and thankyou. I really hope you can do it by the end of the year.Debt Free Wannabe: Natwest OD 2: [STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £100, Virgin Credit Card: [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE] £1,500, Loan from Uncle: [STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] PAID!, Natwest OD 1: £1,000 Total: [STRIKE]£3,400[/STRIKE] £2850

I am so annoyed, virgin told me a good few months ago that £5 will be coming off of my debt each month which is peanuts anyway but i paid £61 and only £1.21 is being paid off, i havent spent on the card for atleast a year ive just been paying it off, the interest is ridiculous!!
So i saw £2.90 sitting in my savings account from interest and paid that onto my virgin card so i decided to make the 200% payment, well thats atleast 2 months payments in one swoop!!! :rolleyes:Due to budget cuts the light at the end of the tunnel will be switched off.
