    Story here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/3540393/Woolworths-collapse-leave-shelves-empty-of-Take-That.html

As already posted, not a lot Zavvi can do at the moment - depends how long it takes to get the Woolies mess sorted.

I would be surprised as that section of woolies is still operating as normal I thought. entuk I thought was not affected by the administration

yes, EUK being part of the woolies group cannot trade whilst in administration, i know this as i work for morrisons who used to get 80% of there entertainment from them, but no longer do, and all the other big supermarkets are having big problems as well, will hit quite hard this, as euk where the market leader in his country for dvd`s, cd`s, games and the like, Dave

It won't just be the supermarkets.........
  • It appears I too have been affected by this.

I purchased a game 26/11 and they took my money 27/11.

I'm gutted to say I can't even cancel my order and buy from elsewhere, as I need this game for a bday present this weekend.

Now, do I risk buying elsewhere, and end up with 2 games, or do I risk waiting, and end up with nothing.

I thought EUK were safe but obviously not
  • I've been calling their website customer service number on 0203 249 3000, but it appears to just ring and ring, and eventually after 3-4 mins cuts your off.

I ordered a game on the 25th November, payment was taken on the 27th November. I have looked at my account online, it just says "in progress" it also states "that no payment will be taken until the item has been allocated to your order." So does this mean I will receive the game?

How can I check the status of an order?

You can check the status of any order you have placed in the ‘your orders’ section in ‘your account’. This lists all of the orders you have placed with us. You can see the status of each individual line by clicking on the order number.
When you order an item the website will give you an indication of its availability. These indications and any dispatch times are estimates only and should not be relied upon as guaranteed. Due to the fast moving nature of the our stock, all orders are subject to availability until they have been confirmed by us. We will not charge your card until the item is in stock and has been allocated to your order.

  • gatita, it appears we're in the same boat.

I've just received an email from Zavvi:

    Dear zavvi customer,
Due to the current issues with the supply of products from our main supplier
Entertainment UK (part of Woolworths Group plc), we have temporarily suspended
taking online orders for affected products.

In this situation, we are unable to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas
and as a result we are cancelling the order you have recently placed. We feel
this is the fairest course of action for our customers under the circumstances.

You will shortly receive a formal cancellation notice from our systems for
any affected orders. Please be assured that if we have taken payment you will
    receive a full refund.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your
custom. We look forward to serving you again at zavvi.co.uk in the very near
    future.

If you would like the most up-to-date information regarding the situation or
would like to contact us please visit
    zavvi.co.uk and click 'help'. Please
do not reply to this email.

    Regards
