  • Please can I play, too?
I'm going to count the pickled onion jar full of change as this month so far. I'm going to get the duck tape, I'm sure it's leaking.

George Henry Lees was a lovely shop especially at Christmas time. Liked Blacklers too I bought two pairs of red knee high socks for my sons stockings in 1979 they are still going and look lovely by the chimney waiting for Santa.

If they're anything like my lot, they'd love to be frisked off a lady! lol.

Glenda - i live in the docks area, i loved the old George Henrys. I like the new building, but the old one had charm. And Blacklers had fantastic decorations if I remeber correctly.

    Hello again everyone,
Quick visit before the works internet police catch me lol

    Stunty & glenda,
The old GHL was a great building, but a serious fire hazard, all the staircases were wooden, that's why it's going to take M & S 2 years to get in there. Blacklers was a fantastic place, the Santa's grotto in that shop was the best in Liverpool, I can still remember it now (remeniscing old f*rt lol)
So - can I have permission to rob hubby myself of a couple of coins? Surely I've earned them.:o:o:o

LC I don't blame you getting out of dodge fast incase the crims were going to come after you. Definitely take note of stunty & take the "thieving" device to the local police station tomorrow. I bet you were looking over your shoulder the whole way home. Good job your hubby had his wits about him. Yoe definitely can rifle his pockets to calm your nerves lol

Hi folks been 'clunking' all weekend - don't keep a note of how many clunks or how much going in there but know the post is already feeling heavy. May see if I can bag another pot or two in the January sales.
