    30p going into mine today.

10p is change from a couple of brief shopping trips. The other 20p is courtesy of yonger DS who asked what change I had. I assumed he wanted a £1 coin changing for his bus fares (70p each way to college), so offered him 1x50p, 2x20p and 1x10p -- only to have him take one 20p and dump a load of coppers down in return !!!

Hello i found 1.07 in my washing machine filter..good news that BUT i think my washer is on its way out..its making a funny noise when it comes to spining a little during the cycle but does not spin just makes the noise...but it does spin at end of cycle.
Im thinking of buying £1 saver stamps from tesco/mr m/ asda and putting them in my sealed pot so next yr i have some food money for xmas too what does everyone think
My washer sometimes doesn't spin, but makes a noise as if it's going to spin.
I give it a gentle kick and that usually gets it going again!!!

Personally (certainly for Mr A), I'd rather put it onto one of their Christmas Savers cards -- if you have a set amount on by a certain date you get a bonus. Last time I used them it was £49 on you got an extra £, with higher levels around the £100 and £150 mark. I used to go in and put enough on to reach the highest level the weekend before the cut off date -- so I earned interest in my bank (or saved by paying it off my c/card) up until that date, and then made maximum 'interest' in a minimal time-span on the grocery card

I'm looking at opening my sealed pot a few weeks earlier than everyone else in 2009, purely so I can put it towards one of these :)

I decided not to put 50p in today but managed to put 6p in lol! I need to know i can finish xmas shopping without dipping into the sealed pot.

I did count my coppers and 5s and in the last 6 months have saved over £3.00 in just coppers and 5s , so in January that will be put into the bank! Lol. Its amazing how much money just small shrapnell adds upto

Molly good to hear that you're well hun, and looking forward to Christmas I bet the little 'uns are getting excited

Mumzy nice to have your input on here, hope that life's treating you well

Sue Hope your weekend went well and that you managed to pocket raid your DH lol. BTW I have ditched the bike, as it was getting too bl**dy cold lol

Junior_j you make sure you take care of yourself young lady, don't want you doing yourself a mischief, with your asthma, welcome to the club.

Now on a more serious note
My DW works at a well known department store. A lady was using the rest room, and put her handbag on the hook on the back of the door. Somebody reached over, took her bag, and ran away. The lady reported it to the shop security & the police. The next day, she had a phone call to say the store had found her handbag. When she went to the store to get her bag back, they told her that they had not found the handbag. The lady went home to find her home had been burgled, because her house keys were in the handbag.

LADIES TAKE CARE WHILE OUT SHOPPING THIS CHRISTMAS TIME.

Hope this helps to stop this from happening to anyone else, please pass this tale onto your friends and work colleagues.

    Take care one and all
