That's great news Sparky :beer::beer:. As you're flush with cash you can make mine a Baileys with crushed ice...mmmmm

Glad your feeling better, Puzzledbubbles :T. But if you get the sudden urge to go 'oink' and dig up truffles with your snout, er nose, get yourself down to the docs :D.

Nothing to add to the pot today but i guess that's because Sparky and his OH have all the cash! :D Well done for giving the fat-cats a bloody nose . Have fun spending it!

It's going into the "Return to New York Pot", we're planning on going back next October, so it goes into DW's ISA until then :D

    Thanks bigbum,
Great name BTW, it does feel good getting one over the financial institutions, they offered DW £260 as a goodwill gesture :p, just waiting to hear about the PPI side of it now ;)

So now I have been good and quiet, may I please be allowed off Auntie Sue? Just leave Kas there, mind at the mo I think she has absconded with LC and LC2. TUT!!
I have been good and saved well this last week. I even went for a meal with a load of friends, cos a freind was here from USA and my meal was not good, so I got it free! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! Money is in the pot! :T

:A My lovely Tara is due to have her stitches out today. :A
She is doing good for a 15yr old poodle.
The vet has even showed me how to tell a cancerous lump form a benign one whilst it is tiny. I just wish he had told me a £1,0000 ago.
I am thinking of selling the instructions to fill my pot and therefore beat LC good and proper. Bless her, she has started that new job and must be falling asleep after work, but you can bet your bottom dollar she will be saving well.

    Morning lucy*locket,
If you took £200 of change to Mr. S's and put it into the machine you would end up with £184  as they charge you 8%, for the privilige of counting YOUR money, TBH, I would take a few trips to the bank, rather than give anything away ;)

Thanks for that Sparky, you've answered my question :D. I'll get counting when the time comes then.....

Just had some good news through the post. I have been doing the credit card reclaim for my DW, and a letter from the Financial Ombudsman arrived a few minutes ago, Capital One are repaying in full all the charges a total of £853.32 :j, just got to get DW to sign the acceptance form and send it off to FOS :D, all for the cost of a couple of registered letters

    :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

Great news Sparky:j, I love to hear about someone beating the big boys, they've got away with overcharging us for too long
  • Hello eveyone,
I really most post on here more often. Since last week when I complained that £2 coins never come my way and up here there was just no roadkill.
I've been given THREE lovely £2 coins and I picked up 2p in road kill. I am well chuffed.

    Hi everyone!

Great to hear Tara is on the mend - when she's back on her feet she might keep Reb out of mischief :p Although we wouldn't want Kas to feel lonely on the naughty step.

I have 50c in piggy today courtesy of ex-hubby who popped over. He reckons that can be my alimony :D He brought me yummy Superquinn sausages (scrummiest sausages over here in Ireland IMHO) and he was worried that they might be from piggy's cousin so thought he'd better appease her with a donation!

I still feel piggy is underweight but has a more satisfying rattle sound than when I started.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Tara is fine thanx, she had all her stitces out, all 30 of them.
    The scar is looking good,
we just have to hope the dreaded 'C' does not appear again. Till then she will remain our cossetted daft poodle! LOL!

and FYI Kas I am off to Slimming World in the morning, unless 4 people tell me tonight not to do it!!!
Then you won't be able to lie about chocolate!
    :p

I don't get to come on here too often.
