This one looks like fun! Imagine how exciting it will be to open the pot and see what's inside.
I've already joined another challenge where I put all my loose change (anything up to 50p) away and it goes into my savings account. But for this challenge, I'm going to put pound coins into the sealed pot (normally I just spend them). I think I'll have quite a lot by the end of the year!
I haven't decided what the money will go on, I'll have to have a think about that, but I'm going to have a go at making a sealed pot today and get started!
Later...
I've just made my sealed pot - in the spirit of money saving I used an old Easter egg box, so I didn't have to go out and buy glue, paint and balloons! It's a huge box so if I manage to fill it, I will be rich! Just put £4 in there so I'm well on the way :-)
Later still...
I've had a think and decided what to use the money for. I've got an interest free overdraft until the end of September and the money is sitting in an ISA (the plan was to earn interest but unfortunately recent events mean I haven't earned as much as I'd like). I need to pay the overdraft back at the end of September but would prefer to withdraw as little as possible from the ISA, so I'm going to use my sealed pot money for that. I don't have a target, just as much as possible - oh, and I'm going to save £2 coins now as well :-)April Grocery Challenge: £80/£64.39

I am returned from the south, and glorious it is to be back opp North - not least because its a gorgeous sunny day and I've been rained on in London for two days. Got a small handful of change to add to the bottle after this week but thanks to London prices its a very small handful (do they not use coppers down there??).It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I'd like to join this. I don't have a target, just going to put in as much as possible..got a bag of change upstairs to start me off. I think I'll do a virtual sealed pot as well since I have an empty account I don't use and haven't been bothered to close.

Hi
Please can I join in? It's a bit cheeky cos I have a HUGE whisky bottle about half full but REALLY need to save for Christmas so this would be ideal. I've been popping my coppers in my little boys money tin but as he'll benefit from my fund it's ok to share isn't it:hello:

Forgive most of the others, girls, although they're a lovely bunch they're also total nutcases, though you've joined on a better day as the worse 3 are away - not together - no one would take 3 [STRIKE]nutters[/STRIKE] lasses like them at one time!!
Skippy, you're amazing! You're certainly out to succeed in life, keep it up!
Hiya scubaangel, lovely to see you back with us, sorry to hear about the rotten weather, no wonder LC is off for the weekend, even she is fed up with it there!
Good for you Greenbynature, good to see your mum doing well now too!
Hi Our Elsie and well done with the tenner! To your question <<<"Anybody missing....LC1....LC2 and Reb:rolleyes:">>> how long do I have to answer that one!
