£3.50 into the sealed tin and 10p into the tub!

Not on target for my £10 a week as yet, but as I start to "balance the Books" each month I hope to add more to this! I am also adding to my online savings to, so it will all add up in the end!:T

Hi there ifonlyitwaseasier and welcome to the thread.

I've not put anything in my pot for a few days, but this year I'm trying just to stick to £2 coins, with the occasional bit of shrapnel thrown in for good measure.
Good to see so many people posting and saving.

Hi Flutterby, I think that journal for your kids is so lovely. I took loads of my mum's recipes when I moved out, I still use them. I'm sure they will appreciate the love and care you are showing by doing this project. Are they moving out iminently or is it for the future? How about something about cars? Especially about not getting ripped off by garages who see a woman and put the price up by £200! That happened to me! I went to another garage and instead of the £700 the first garage was going to charge (they told my dad on the phone £500), the second garage told me it would be £90!!!
Anyway, I found my first roadkill since starting this challenge! 5p under the public phone in Sainsbury's. And I saved £1 in car park charges so that's going in. Yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

well the good news is that I had two no-spend days as I stayed at home all weekend and we eat what we had in the house. Bad news is - no spend = no change so pots went hungry. So, logivally if I treat myself to a cream egg walking home, is that good as I will have change for the pot, or have I missed something here? :)

It took ages to read everything and being nosy didn't want to miss anything. To professors Sparky and Stunty detentions sound good to me I think I must have been the only kid that thought every-one had to do overtime. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Found a great way to have NSDays I just ask DH when he is out if he could just pick up a couple of things which he does cos he's kind and I get a free day !!! I'm not really mean I do lots for him.

Yes Sam 247 I'm sure we are meant to buy cream eggs after all we get change and we are helping the recession :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
