I'm not entirely sure why a DVI connector has been used as the TV should have an HDMI socket which would solve the problem.
Older HD ready TV's had DVI sockets instead of HDMI - I have the same. To connect my V+ box I had to connect from HDMI on V+ to DVI on TV, and as DVI does not carry audio, this had to be connected seperately. In my case an Optical cable to surround sound system works.
OP, is there an optical (or digital co-axial) in on the stereo, or is a seperate surround sound system available? If I have helped in any way, and you feel like it - please press the thanks button:beer:0
