another boiler question??????

Options
Im sorry but this is a boiler question again. My daughter has just renovated her first house and is at the stage now where the central heating needs to go in. It is a small mid terraced house, living room, kitchen, two bedrooms (well actually 1 1/2!!!!) and a tiny bathroom or I should say shower room, there isnt enough room for a bath. She will be having an electric shower. She has decided to have gas central heating with a combi boiler. There is so much conflicting advice over combi's and as I have only ever had solid fuel central heating I cant help her. Can you please advise on a good combi for this size house and the approximate price we should be prepared to pay for it.Thanks in advance!!!!

Back again....................someone has suggested a Heatline C24 Condensing Boiler 8000 BTU, these run at £435.00 plus VAT. Said these were a pretty good boiler and as good as the named makes...............anyone know anything about these???????
  • Never heard of it. It's probably on a par with the Ravenheats available at B & Q, i.e. not too bad on the surface but probably with an aluminium main heat exchanger and no auto by-pass or frost stat included. Just to add to it, in my opinion the Ravenheat looks horrible too.

Edit: Just checked them out, the C24 is only Sedbuk 'B' rated. The S24 is 'A' rated. The technical information available on their website is brief to say the least, good flow rates and a two year warranty but no mention of stainless steel heat-exchanger, auto by-pass or in built frost protection, so it would be safest to assume none of these apply as it tends to be shouted about when it does.
