Hi,
I’m looking for low cost UK based hosting with PHP and Mysql. I have been looking at those priced yearly, and especially those with an option to pay for two years, as they seem to be much better value than those priced monthly. I’ve been looking at www.qiq.co.uk, www.streamline.net and www.weycrest.co.uk, does anyone use any of these? Any other recommendations?
Thanks.

i would highly recommend www.1and1.co.uk
I get great customer service, full access to DNS records etc, and their hosting speed is superb.0 -
I'm using Streamline on their free trial at the moment. It is not that bad really, although I'm only building and testing my site. The main problem I have encountered is with setting up my email on Apple's Mail program (equiv of Outlook). That is going to be a huge problem for me when the site is actually running. I'm just trying out their customer service team (having had an awful experience before I registered. I asked a question and they told me to phone them on an 0845 number so they could give me an answer). I need to find out what distribution of Linux they are using before I download and install Plesk.
In any case I think I will be changing to http://www.csnewmedia.co.uk/ in January. There are some horrendous reviews regarding Streamline from after you sign up. Supposedly once they have your money it all goes downhill0 -
Have heard some bad things a 1and1's customer service, and they look rather pricey for hosting with mysql.
csnewmedia.co.uk look good, anyone on here allready with them? I'll put them at the top of my list
I'm thinking there must be loads of good value hosts out there who I've never even heard of because they don't spend so much on advertising. 0 -
I'd recommend http://www.tfcph.com, as they're free, but I think they may be changing soon.0

110mb.com - free and reliable. had my forum with them for 2 years now.0

For a small site, i've used https://www.netweaver.co.uk in the past (they start from £20 a year for hosting + £7 for a domain for 2 years)0

I use Relichost who seem very good.
I am on the silver package and my son has the bronze package. Prices start from £6.00 per year.

I have used 1&1 since 2006. They have OK customer service even though the support staff all seem to be in an Indian call centre. Reliability has been pretty good so far. Speed has been excellent.i would highly recommend www.1and1.co.uk

I use reseller seaweasel (MSE member). Compared to easily.co.uk where I have another site, his hosting is a lot cheaper and just as reliable. Plus it includes email and a much more powerful control panel. I just cannot be bothered to copy my Easily site over otherwise I'd use seaweasel for both.0
