i don't know whether it's only me..but i've heard that the 0844 numbers are part of o2 inclusive minutes as part of their off-peak minutes and 0870 for peak. When i rang their customer service, they said that the number is charged at 35p/min...A friend of mine, who is on o2 told me that he doesn't get charged for using these number. I wonder whether anyone could shed some light on that for me..
cheers

I was charged for these calls but i do know people who are not... must depend on individual plans - but how the heck does one know for sure b4 taking out a plan?
    something missing
  • I had them as inclusive for a while, but from this month they are getting charged as my inclusive minutes aren't dropping while using any 0844 numbers.

Below is an extract from o2's terms and conditions. As I read this it seems to me that 0870 0871 and 0844 are excluded from the bundled minutes.

Also, I note that o2 have minimum charges for calls, ie 3p for monthly rental customers and 5p for PAYG customers.

i guess that it would be cheaper to ring from o2 payg where there is no commitment..unless there is another another way of ringing 0844 numbers for free

Kas - I reckon you would find that it would be even more expensive to call an 0844 number from a PAYG phone.

i've got a premier package onb orange as well but my inclusive minutes doesn;t includes 0844..although last time i've used them..they've decreased...
    i was wondering something..
i take a new o2 contract to try and see if they charge for the 0844 number...how much time do i have to cancel my contract ..is it 14 days or more?
i think that there should be a way around this...

I have been with O2 for the last 8 years. Pay up front package. 600 minutes off peak a month for £100 a year. I have never been charge for the 0844, 0845 or 0870 number. Have never try 0871 number yet.

So it might be that if you take out policy recently the term and condition will be different.

    hi all,
i've been using 02 for about 2 years now and always call abroad using 0845,0844 and 0870 no. with my inclusive cross network minutes. It's FREE!

I'm not sure about the others but for me, it's abosolutely FREE with my inclusive minutes.

    thanks for sharing
i have been doing some research as well..and it seems that other people are having 0844 as part of their inclusive minutes on o2 although o2 said that they are charged separately.....i am going to get my new contract today and will try to make some calls this week-end and will see if i am being charged for them online.
    i'll keep things posted..
