Sort this if you can?

I have a sony ericsson K750i mobile that I have used for ages. I have just discovered that if i send a text to one contact,(son-in law to be) it fails to arrive.

In SENT, the status of the text shows NOT RECEIVED. The phone number is correct as I phone the contact, he sent me a text and I hit the reply button, this shows NOT RECEIVED.

I've re-entered his details under a slightly different name, but the same number obviously, still with no luck

I've asked him if he has blocked my number and he say's not.

So, what can anyone offer by way of an explanation please.

Oh, I'm on vodaphone he is on orange and in the same room as my daughter who is also on orange and she gets her texts

has he ever ported the number away from Vodafone in the past?

not that I am aware of. We think I may have text him before, but are not totally sure.



whoops, I've just had SEVEN message delivered notices, I'm wondering if he has been working on the phone

Can he texted you ? If he can try replying and see if that works.
Can you try your sim in another handset and your handset with another sim to see if the problem follows the phone or the sim ?

More likely one of your networks playing up?

I had a similar problem as had my mum stored directly and under an ICE number, which seemed to cause the sms to fail. have you got his number stored multiple times. I am not sure why this makes a difference, but it did in my case.

yes, he texted me and I replied via REPLY, but it didn't reach him to 18 hrs later.

I had a similar problem as had my mum stored directly and under an ICE number, which seemed to cause the sms to fail. have you got his number stored multiple times. I am not sure why this makes a different, but it did in my case.

it so happens I have my daughter registered under ICE, but no issues there.

Text messages can technically take anywhere up to 72 hrs to be sent/recieved.
