how to bartar when upgrading?

hi..
i want to buy a d600 on contract as i am upgrading next week. i have read other threads about reasons to leave etc.

just wanted to ask is it better to talk about the phone or the priceplan first.
i am hoping to get 500 xnet mins 100 txts and free d600.

shall i talk about the phone first? i dont mind compensating sum minutes but that is the phone i want?

Are you ready to upgrade ( are you out of contract) ?.

Just say you have seen X phone with X amount of minutes for X amount and can they match or beat it to keep your custom.

Have a look around and see what everyone else is offering so you do have some prices to compare with.

Upgrade prices go off your monthly spend so if you pay £30 a month line rental but go over each month by £50-£80 (you'd be on the wrong plan) & they will try and offer you something to keep you.

If you stick within your free minutes each month and never go over, they should offer you a deal to stay but it might not be as good as if you over spend each month.

    good luck.

my colleague just upgraded to XDA mini S after his contract term (O2100 tariff). Initially he asked for upgrade, but O2 asked £50 for w550i. I suggested him (thanks for the o2 upgrade thread in MSE) to go through cancellation department for PAC. They asked the reason for cancellation and stated an offer from t-mobile vario.

Immediately they offered XDA mini S upgrade free of cost!
