Wanting free international texts

Phone companies 18866 and 1899 have increased the charge for sending texts from a computer from 1p to 6p per text. Any ideas on sending cheap or free texts to Europe such as France?

has anyone on this forum used http://www.fishtext.com and if so, what do you think of it. There seem to be a couple of alternatives e.g. https://www.smsbug.com

Any thoughts on the best one to use much appreciated!
