Will do flower ;) I didn't put addresses on the cards just names, I also bought a large jiffy bag to put them in cause I don't possess any envelopes of any size lol and I thought it'd be a bit sturdier

    [strike]
ETA: think I'm gonna do an Asda delivery for tomorrow save me going out (except for work) AT ALL, any free delivery codes knocking about?
[/strike] Doesn't matter, they can't deliver til Saturday - no use then

I've put mine on the GenesReunited website, I think it's quite good that you can give access to other members of the family to your tree if they're interested, or even to more distant relations who are working on other branches. They should be able to help you find out more as well. I can't remember if they charge for this but if they do it's quite a small amount.

Thanks for that! I've just registered.:D

    Ok daft question time.:D

I have ‘done’ my family tree, at the moment it is on several bits of paper, and a nightmare to work out who belong with who etc.:rotfl:

Ideally I want to put it onto a CD Rom or similar / computer programme

So who else had a family tree and how are you ‘storing it/ adding to it?

    Many thanks

Kaz - my brother has found Legacy Family Tree Deluxe Edition a good programme, suggested I got it (which I have, although not installed) then we can "share" information via the 'net. He's also set up a website for us.

Valli no, I did mean to put Flower :rotfl: sorry if I spooked you
Flower - Just the names is fine, I have matched Justamum's up as I only put the proper names on the envelopes :rotfl: With the envelopes a normal one and wrap sticky tape around a few times should be fine or recycle an old jiffy bag.

I've ordered some more presents, need some things to go with things mainly, something for my Nana which I am waiting for ideas from my Mam and something for my neice and nephew, I don't know what to buy them as I have only seen them once since February due to the falling out with my sister, might have to pester Mam about that one too. Making me realise how much I miss them, such a shame but can't put up with the way my sister is at the mo. Might get them clothes and put some money in an envelope, little neice is coming up 11 and designer clothes daft!

Right **shakes head** been having a think about reorganising more rooms, mainly my room and the conservatory. Main PC is in the conservatory and worried that's causing problems aswell as it's too cold to use it without the fire on. Thinking about putting it into my room which at the minute is a bit of a dumping ground. Will take some work however. It's not ideal having it in there but nowhere else really for it.

DPs gone to collect the WIL before going to work, back until after Xmas, joys! ***Be prepared for me moaning about her on several occasions, she goes back eventually and peace is restored but it's never pleasant when she's back as the regulars will know by now :o ***
One day I might be more organised...........

lil_me...I'll get the cards out to you tomorrow. Managed to do 5 so far :rotfl: Got to go food shopping now.

I need more hours in the day! Think I'd be completely hopeless if I went out to work all day as well!

I didn't - I just put the MS names on the envelopes. Lil_me is going to put all the ones for each person in a separate envelope and then address the outside envelope (if you understand my incoherent waffle :rotfl:)
That's what I have done - and Lil-me stamps in your card;) posted them on the way to the docs (well sort of - I was outside which in this weather is enough;) )
except Gryfon cos I have sent you the key ring pull! Direct mail on its way, ma'am.

Dusty found the miniatures they are in the papershop (which is also the PO and convenience store) at the bargain price of 99p The box weighs 100g so postage should come in at under a quid. It's a Martins or a R S MaColl (they keep changing the name) in case you have one local to you. If you want a pack posting let me know (they did try to charge me £1.29 for DDs but I pointed to the rather large shelf edge ticket... they really get narked when you tell them they have overcharged you in there - I don't go in very often but I do get a paper delivered from there) so it does depend on them sticking to that offer. I can get to the PO Fri/Sat after that you would have to wait until next week...

Oh by the way the you-know-what is a bit bigger than the doc expected so I have to go for a scan. We suspect fibroids! We also consulted on DDs problem too (naughty Valli - one appointment two problems) she suggested melting nurofenny things alongside the parrots.

ETA Lil_me WIL? witch in law? until after xmas? poor you! (yet ANOTHER benefit of being divorced...)

I've now washed the lounge floor (bare concrete) and the dining room floor (manky tiles). I'll be glad when we can afford to complete the laminate, but still better than the even mankier carpet. :o

I've also put away more stuff in the study and cleared out the understairs cupboard and washed that floor.

And ........... *gulp* I've made an appointment with a Solicitor for DS, who is eligible for legal aid, to see if we can resolve anything with our local LEA. The Solicitor did mention the "s" word. They certainly need a kick so that they don;t continue their discriminatory practice with regard to disabilities.
