Well I still haven't done much but I have wrapped presents for Mr G to take to work for the Christmas party for the children, sent him shopping for cards for me and finally glued the safety catch thing on my food processor back to see it if works. Also noticed that a popper had come unfastened from my new coat so I've glued that as well. I would sort out my hat now but I've only got white elastic :(

Thanks Valli, if you want to send it with the others I can cope till then :)

BTW does anyone know if cotton stretches at all? This hat is cotton and says to reshape whilst damp and I'm wondering if I wet it and then stretch it around something it'll get bigger?

Dusty I find them in our local papershop. Supermarkets tend to take differently packaged ones. Shall I have a look for you? I need them too for DD.

Thanks that would be great - I'll check my papershop too.

Just back from M&S sale - manic - I've changed my online order to take off all of what I got in store and add on what I couldn't.

Will catch up with the thread in a bit.

Hello again everyone  That was a really nice nap!!!!! :D:D:D

Embb Hope you're alright honey. 2ft of snow... we didn't get any!!!!! My children are most disgruntled!!

Well, it's 30 mins till school run, dinner's already cooked from yesterday (I forgot big bro was buying chinese  :D ) So I haven't got to do that. :j

Santa's delivered a few things, which is very exciting. It's nice not having out usual over the top get everything Christmas, still on target with my budget... did I mention...... ??????????? :rotfl:

I was going to get DD1's underwear from M&S, but then I thought, blow it, even with the 20% I can get it cheaper somewhere else!

Talking of underwear, bravissimo girls take note, it's 12% cashback via quidco. That's no small amount cos our bras are so expensive!!!!!

  • Thanks Toots it was a lovely night, and quite an achievement for me and Mr Shattered not to drink. My step-dad and my brother drank. I wasn't bothered tho... Yay!!! :D:D:D:D:D Normally we'd have drunk at least a bottle of wine and a half each, easily

So, all in all pretty good. :)

Oh, I'm so sleepy, trying to trawl though the M&S site is sending me in a tailspin of snoozing????????! Sofa's calling, I'm going to get a kip. *yawn*

Think I may have decided what to buy my friend.....she's really disorganised to the extent she never even knows when school holidays are etc. I've seen a really nice filofax (pink and flowery which is very her) and I was going to put all the school dates in that she needs and fill in other bits for her too.....what do you reckon???

I think that's lovely Mudbath, I would love a filofax, you can change the pages and stuff to can't you - brilliant idea...
Well done on your flying by the way, put me to shame you have...:o

:hello: Just got home! Haven't done anything yet apart from get the washing out of the machine. Went into town just to get some wrapping paper and to have a look for a coat, finally found a lovely warm one with a hood in New Look but the zipper has lost the pully bit (which I think I can sort with some cord through it) so got 10% off :D Also bought a hat which Mr G thinks I look sexy in ;) The only problem is that it's a tad tight as I have a big head so my plan is to see where I can cut a bit of the band out and put some black elastic in there instead, I'm not bad as sewing small neat stitches so should be alright. Then we bought some lunch from Boots and sat in the car looking at the harbour eating it.

Sounds like a great day Gryfon, and glad you got your boots sorted too... good luck with the WW, but please, take it easy on yourself too... :A
