:hello: Just got home! Haven't done anything yet apart from get the washing out of the machine. Went into town just to get some wrapping paper and to have a look for a coat, finally found a lovely warm one with a hood in New Look but the zipper has lost the pully bit (which I think I can sort with some cord through it) so got 10% off :D Also bought a hat which Mr G thinks I look sexy in ;) The only problem is that it's a tad tight as I have a big head so my plan is to see where I can cut a bit of the band out and put some black elastic in there instead, I'm not bad as sewing small neat stitches so should be alright. Then we bought some lunch from Boots and sat in the car looking at the harbour eating it.

So now Mr G is having a nap for an hour and DD2 has just gone up for her nap as well. I need to wrap some presents and try to do a bit of my list!

TAG - how did you do?

In my HHC, I've vacuumed the rest of upstairs and down the staircase, wiped down all the upstairs doors, wiped down the sides of the stairs, stair gate and handrails, dusted my bedroom, emptied the vacuum cleaner, ready to start downstairs, and retrieved my oldest dog because the idiot parcel postman can't be bothered to close the gate!

    Now to find something yummy!

toots that's all I ever pay at our local salon, which is why it's daft me not going, I think actually it might have gone up 50p in the last year. The salon I won the voucher for a cut and style at wanted £50 just for the highlights. It's hilarious too, the staff are so funny, one turned round today and said 'when I die make sure they leave my feet out of the ground as they are always too hot' and wandered off :rotfl: she said later, 'I couldn't committ suicide I might hurt myself ':rotfl: she's crackers.

Snow ploughs been through the longer road to our street, and shovelled the snow to the end of the street in a big pile it seems, great!

    Some funnies for you
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=VnBjQDeZPag&feature=related that one actually just had me fascinated!!!

For those of us having a bad day....

When four of Santa's elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the Pre-Christmas pressure.

Then Mrs Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more.

When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where.

Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.

Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drank all the cider and hidden the liquor. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.

Just then the doorbell rang, and irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.
The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?'

And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree
One day I might be more organised...........

Bah shop workers...can't get the staff now-a-days ;) Got myself a new pair of hiking boots yesterday as my old ones are very worn on the bottom and my feet feel wet in the rain. Tried them on in the shop but when I bent my foot part of the tongue was pushing down on my foot and made them rather uncomfortable, got them anyway though as I know that they'll soften. Just putting them on now to walk around the house to get used to them and realised that they've been laced wrong  So now I've changed it (there's a loop for the laces to go through on the tongue and that was done wrong) they are so comfortable! I feel taller already as these have grip :D

So with new boots, new coat and sexy hat I'm content :) Also WW starts again today so I've been pointing and so far so good!

I like those big ticks - where can I get some? :D

Not done any flying today - just got in from shopping. Went to M&S and spent £65 and some pennies on final (almost!) Christmas presents. It should have been £96, so quite chuffed with that. Got a scrum cap for DS but Intersport didn't have any rugby gloves so I'll go in next week when they have some. I've hidden most of the presents so far in my wardrobe, but have run out of space (it all has to compete with the pile of magazines and wrapping paper which is stored in there :rotfl:) so I've put some in DH's wardrobe.

Did a bit of shopping at Tesco, so now need to put it all away and make something to eat, then it's Doctors. I have to pick up a recorded delivery item from the PO later (don't know what that could be ).

Must try and push the vac around at some time today.

Gryfon - when zips lose the pully bit I use a key ring loop which I can easily get through the zip. In fact when key rings break (usually the dangly bit) I save those rings they are so useful!

I get the ticks here, Justamum HTH
