  • Hi, everyone  Busy day for me - off to work soon (in the snow    ), nipping out to a friend's funeral at lunch time, first Choir Concert of the season this evening. I have a lift, but if this snow continues, we may not be going :o DH is home from Stockholm tonight (and has a day off tomorrow) and has no plans to be abroad again this year, so we're looking forward to being a family again :T

I said I'd pop back with my list, so this is what I did after work yesterday (the children were at Scouts, so I had some space to get on ;) )

See you all soon, Penny. x

Since getting in about an hour ago I have emailed the landlord to chase loo repair,

When we have rented in Swaziland it's in the lease that it's the tenant's job to fix loos - so you end up renting places where the loo doesn't work/leaks etc because previous tenants haven't bothered to get them repaired

reported a missed bin collection to the council (only a year to get a wheelie bin, now they don't seem to be able to collect it...I wonder why we pay £1.5k a year in council tax...),

£1.5k a year :eek: Luckily we still pay rates - and it's included in the rent. Council tax would ensure that we lived in a tent somewhere because we couldn't possibly afford both. Gold-plated pensions anyone? ;)

    Miorning all!

Am about to post a list unless someone's in for the first HHC of the day at 8:30?

Wow Pigpen - thought police on your Freecycle it seems... a lovely idea that but ruined by jobsworths... well done you.

Good luck with the interview Summermoon and the staff discount when you get it (cos you will - think positive)

Dusty I find them in our local papershop. Supermarkets tend to take differently packaged ones. Shall I have a look for you? I need them too for DD.

Thanks Flower for the heads up on the M&S I thought we were out of luck there

    HHC anyone?

 Will sort a list out in a second. My back is so stiff and sore this morning, I'm not sure whether the back doctor has made it worse or not! Still full of cold though so that's not helping. About to take some drugs and then get on.

    Good luck Summermoon :)
