Zoey, sickies because of snow isn't allowed when you're a surgeon! Hope all goes well tomorrow.
Pigpen pleased to hear you are ok, apart from the bruises. I would have reported for the simple fact it's worrying if someone can hit someone and not notice! Hit and run is illegal if they seen you and intentionally drove off. This was how my friends Great Great Aunt was stopped driving in her 80s as she hit someone without knowing and when the police asked her to read a reg number to test her eyesight when they called to see her she couldn't see the car!
Summermoon great news on both, good luck. My partner took a very long time to settle into a job, it's basically taken a boss who lets him do as he wishes in a completely different role, nothing to do with his qualifications. We've been through hell when he's walked out of jobs etc in the past so know how you feel, it's worrying. Unfortunately the way things are at the moment employment is very difficult to just walk into.
jjef ((hugs)) I don't think I could ever work in a secondary school, I'd have wanted to hurt one of the horrible oiks!
Justamum they will use time as an excuse but why not make the pastry their first week, I'd put a letter in to school asking them why
boddy maybe an opportunity to have a break from the staff you don't like too!
greenbee pity you are a distance away from here, got some taxi receipts somewhere....do you want some blank ones :rotfl:
Penny it's been lovely having you back, please do pop in when you can!
emily hope it goes well
froddy my son is 9 and the stuff the special school he's at is working on is curriculum based has recently leaped when it comes to work level imo, very sharp jump (he's 9)
Cards have arrived from boddy and from Pink Fairy
Trees decorated, was lovely having some help, nice company and enough alcohol to make my eyes go a little fuzzy...:rotfl: Tree looks nice now but will check in the morning when I am less fuzzy. It's been nice getting to know them both again really, DPs nfriend he haddn't seen to really chat to for some years, they were very close before, his GF was very young when I last spoke to her and has really matured now (she was just a teenager before) so was just nice having nice company. The boys really like them too. We let the boys decorate it first then removed it, DS2 ran round it with tinsel while DS1 not liking the feel of it threw crackers at it :rotfl: Will post photos when I can get them off my phone. DP did eventually help get ready for guests by vacuuming the hall and stairs, a job I hate!
Anyway I must get to bed, tired, hopefully drinks consumed will help me sleep, argh, must check for dry uniforms first. ST course on the morning, dropping some things off for someone on Freecycle on the afternoon, must go to the pet shop too, bother, need to make sure DP has his suit/shirt/tie sorted for funeral aswell.
Night night everyone, will catch up with you all tomorrow xxxOne day I might be more organised...........

I have a sore big toe this morning. I stubbed it on my way to bed last night and broke the nail off so that it bled. Shoes are going to be sooooo much fun for the next couple of days!
It's going to be a slow journey to work this morning I think - we have icy roads - so I'd better get a move on....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

RANT ALERT!!!!!
Right. I've been a bad flybaby. I am so behind on the thread i've decided its not worth catching up, so hugs to all in need, congrats to those who've done good and loves to all. I feel like a complete wipeout, no energy (prolly coz I spent most of the vomiting up my migraine tablets, oh the joy. At least the pain's worn off now, but I'm still feeling somewhat delicate), I have a mouth full of ulcesr and a dull feeling behind my eyes that could be tiredness, or that cold I thought might be coming in yesterday could be making its way through. Sky City is a shamble (all three rooms of it) and I just want to sit in a corner and cry, though to be fair, thats nothing new. On the plus side, I've rang in sick to work, so at least they can't make me feel guilty for feeling carppy, coz you don't get any thanks for making the effort. Only bl**dy overtime anyway, and they where sending people home yesterday. Right now I've got that off my chest, going to create a bit of list to take my mind off it all.....hmmmm might put a rant alert.
