((((((((((hugs)))))))))) for you Nikki :kisses3: If only I lived closer, I'd be round like a shot to give you someone to talk at
My, it's cold here. I've not had the heating on today, but will put it on soon, or it'll be perishing by the time the children get in. I need to sweep out the fireplace, and lay anothere fire.
See you later, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Hi
Hope everyone is well and welcome newbies/returners. So far today I've done errands and laundry. My aims for the rest of the day are to go shopping with friend, do more errands and laundry, empty bins and wash hair0 -
Angelnikki I agree with what Toots said (she speaks wise words) tiny steps towards helping yourself somehow ((((((hugs)))))) if you just feel the need to 'talk' to somebody please feel free to PM me. Typical...just as I sit down for a minute DD2 wakes up. So much for 5 minutes peace!!!
I agree with Toots too Nikki...the fact that you're telling us is a start..sounds like a sign that you're ready to do something about it now. Definately agree with Toots that you should contact support groups. Sounds like a good starting point.0 -
thanks guys :A xx
Tootsmoving out by the time DS gets free childcare is what I am already working towards.
(not sure how achievable it is with my M.E. getting worse but I'm gonna try) I've already built up a nice amount in savings and I have joined Action for M.E. (thanks to Pink Fairy :T ). Yesterday I got all the information from AfME to help me apply for DLA which would help me be able to afford to move out. I just need to find the energy to read through it all. But I am making steps towards getting out. :j

My friends, who only knew me by my married name have no problem remembering since I went back to my maiden name five years ago, so why do my cousins, who knew me and my parents, still use my married one? So if I am not in when my 'old' cousin's parcel arrives I have to find my old work ID card to show at the parcel office. OK nothing much in the great scheme of things, but just get the feeling that if they cared they would remember. (gives self a shake and tells self not to be stupid)
Rant off
S'funny y'know Crafty, one of my girlfriends just couldn't seem to remember to use my married name, and used to tell me I was making a fuss over nothing when I complained about it.... she would say, "oh for heavens sake, what does it matter, I've always known you as X, so why should it matter what I call you?!"
What really amazed me is how much it suddenly mattered to her, when she got married!!!! Woe betide anyone who didn't use her new name!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:MMSSB Club Founder Member

Sorry, quick question. I'm in for the flylady Christmas card swap for the first time. In fact this is a stupid question but will ask it anyway
. Do you sign the cards with your real name or mse name??
I was a bit unsure, so I signed my real name with my mse name in brackets so nobody wonders who the heck the card is from :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
