Having spent a beautiful week in Cornwall in a beautiful house I want mine to shine like that. I've made a good start today but without you cracking the whip I'm afraid it'll all go to pot by the end of the week

Pigpen are you psychic my spare room is by far the worst in the house :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi

    I'm in again, thanks Pigpen.

    Hugs to Lil_me.

I spent the morning sorting through all of Ds2's toys:eek:  . I've got 2 blackbags of rubbish and 5 bags to charity or sell. I'll work my way through them this week. Ds2's got so much more room now to play so he's happy. We've decided xmas eve we're going to put all apart from one box of his toys in the attic. Then alternate that box with the rest each week. Otherwise come xmas he'll be back to having no room again.

After that we went for a walk in the woods which was lovely but a bit chilly.

I just can't stay away:eek: I was telling DF about the lovely messages you all sent last week. I was looking on the techie board to see if I could find someone who had the time to teach me how to do something with our website-next challenge? Where is Greenbee? and I found a thread about Martin and was telling DF about that. Then I remembered that I said I would let you know about the cookie swap-so I came over here...DF is :rotfl: at me!!!

Anyway, the cookie swap was a huge success, there were even enough left for me to do a neighbourhood run to the three OAP's that live on our street. One of the girls told me after that she was just expecting another playdate with us trading cookies. Anyway, the house is decorated for Christmas now and it looks lovely:j The photo's are up on Facebook. So as I explained...my little one bedroom house does not need much...but the cookie swap resulted in a few wardrobes getting stuffed so I do have a bit of work.
also wanted to ask if I post a list of all my creative tasks-ie scrapbooking, activities with DS etc, would that count as relevant?Since my cleaning and decluttering is at a minimum-that way I could get on with my next challenge AND still post:o
Assuming above is alright, here is my list for the week:
    • Start deciding what cake to do for sparklers christmas party
    • Send cake images to CD
    • More recipes for Chez
    • Make list of ss recipients and make up the bags for packaging
    • Post international christmas cards and phone
    • Finish writing cards for UK post
    • Finish grandads collage photo's
    • Finish overlocking fabric in current project
    • Finish control journal laminating
    • Dailies

Can't goto sleep yet, kids still awake, ordered takeaway because I really don't want to cook this late, so tired I'll be lucky not to doze off in it. Need something however as not had anything that I have kept down since Thursday. Todays working has made me forget about being hungry :rotfl: I'll just have to ignore him if he starts again because I'll end up waking up in the middle of the night hungry if I don't get something before bed.

Thinking about the kids rooms, they are actually quite tidy, so it'll just be a case of stripping beds, dust and vacuum I think. I might put any left over time, actually I must check to see if I have anything on tomorrow, into doing the bathroom. There is just crates upon crates in there full of toiletries.

Tomorrows list for me, inc pigpens, took out what doesn't need doing and the swear word she put in!!! pigpen in red, dailies in blue, extras in black
Strip beds and put on clean bedding

    Vacuum and turn mattress
Sort through a chest of drawers/wardrobe and fling anything that no longer fits/past wearing
Dust and vacuum and wipe of sticky grotty bits
    Wash the windows and curtains/blinds

Wipe down all the woodwork and the bed frames

    Vacuum and mop through downstairs
Kids up, dressed, fed and DS2 walked to school
    Dogs walked x 3
Meals ? Get something out for dinner
    S&S bathroom and kitchen
    Post sort
Pay bills, check emails, freecycle stuff
Pack ups, school bags and uniforms ready on evening
Clear some of the toiletries clutter, tidy it up somehow, maybe some moved into my wardrobe
    Bins out
Remember gas safety thingy booked at 9.30am
Cardboard etc that is in car to the tip
Sort through one of the boxes at least that I have put into the conservatory
    Finish hall sort out

MACAW - keep to the only buy what I need aswell as delete 50 emails or more per day. DP moaning that the laptop says 3276 unread emails........................that's just one account :rotfl:

Could anyone use a shower saver? not suitable for electric showers, just the taps ones.....Nana got it thinking it was for electric ones....then for some reason gave it to me, my shower is electric....http://www.eaga.com/showersmart/index.html
If anyone wants it drop me a PM and I will pop it in the post.
One day I might be more organised...........

Well apparently (dictionary has been consulted) either spelling is acceptable

    organization organisation

Think I will go with the s...IMHO it looks better...

The s spelling is the "proper" English one. The z spelling is American.

    Evening all!
Lil_me - Cards ready for posting tomorrow. :T

Snap! :rotfl:I wrote mine out this afternoon while listening to an Il Divo CD.
  • I am in, in my own little way. I need to be as we haven't done much this weekend apart from spend cash.

    We've:
    • finally made ourselves members of costco, so bought a few bits, and then spent time splitting up a massive tray of beef
    • been to B and Q to spend my vouchers on a new table lamp for my SAD light, and also managed to buy some paint to finish the garage door, some funky wellies for me, and a bathroom shelve organiser thingy that hangs on the wall - bathroom now looks less cluttered.
    • DH also got some screws, so he fixed my high chair, now i can use it or get rid of as i see fit.
    • WM - washed all the bedding, and did a dark kids load and a light kids load, and then got the towels all washed
    • all beds made with fresh bedding
    • found some more kiddies clothes to box up in the loft
    • sorted a couple of baby xmas outfits, was going to ebay them but they are going for peanuts, so i am going to give to DH's boss for their new baby
    • been to feed the ducks - quality family time
    • went to visit my pa and sister and nephew
    • reorganised the freezer, and ate up a few bits so haven't cooked a lot this weekend.
I have also decluttered - a whole litre of baileys has just disappeared this weekend. I always do that with Baileys. But, i feel less stressed and had a lovely weekend with DH. We watched a rental DVD and a film off the digi box, and were able to relax for a change.

Anyway, I've just scoffed vegi chilli pancakes, followed by fruit cake and custard so i am suitably stuffed, and about to start doing a bit of the ironing. I need to tackle some of the pile as it will be december and i do want none lying around during the holidays.

    Night one and all,
    Michelle, x

    What's a spare room? :confused::rotfl:
  • I'm in again. Still haven't started ironing but can't put it off as we're a bit short on clothes!

    Welcome to the thread Flaire.

Not done much this weekend as we've been out and about so need to get moving this week.

Off to iron then having an early night.

    Night night!
