I'm kind of in this week... although not quite sure when I'll get anything done! I have a feeling that I missed some interesting stuff over the weekend while I was busy, but don't have time to catch up sadly...
... however, despite alternating gardening with pampering sessions at a local salan, we had filled 5 bags with garden stuff and taken them to the tip by Friday evening, left two bags which were collected on Saturday morning, then spent the morning in the salon again with my brother's fiancee (still very excited and emotional!) and managed to fill enough for two more trips to the tip (and doing other errands at the same time to make the journey less carbon intensive, obviously!).
On Sunday we went to Ikea for the remainder of the bits for the utility room... won't be going back there again in a hurry  it was horrible. Far too many people... then we went to visit my great uncle & aunt, who my mum hadn't seen for about 10 years, and I hadn't seen since I was a baby, so it was a very emotional afternoon... my dad arrived just after we got home.
Today we have packed all the stuff from the hall (mostly from the utility room) into the spare room, and put a chest of drawers (relocated from my parents house) into the hall - it now has my handbags, scarves, hats and gym kit in it - plus finished the garden (my dad took 4 more bags to the tip), so it's all tidy for winter. I also had another tree surgeon round to quote... hopefully this one will actually get back to me with the details!
Utility room is getting on really well... WM went in last week, and have now run it through a cleaning cycle with soda crystals, vinegar and all my cleaning cloths. Base units are in, half the wall units are up (one needs modifying), TD is in, but outlet not yet sorted, tiles are down but not grouted or sealed, freezer is also in, so ready to transfer stuff back from the one in the garage tonight. Hopefully the DW and sink will also be done today or tomorrow. My dad also bought me a dehumidifier when he went to the tip... it's taking a while for the utility room to dry out (plaster, tile adhesive etc) so it should help, and I'll be able to use it to dry the rest of the house out later (I get lots of condensation).
So a very productive few days, but I'm absolutely shattered, as I'm not used to having people in the house for so long... and I haven't had a lie in for AGES!!!
It looks as if most of you have had very productive days today... hopefully I'll be able to start catching up again properly next week, as (fingers crossed) the utility room will be done and I'll be able to start putting stuff away and cleaning it all out properly!
Hugs to EVERYONE as if you don't need them now, you probably have needed them recently... and well done to all of you on your achievements whether great or small...0 -
That was a good HHC :j Jam's now labelled (and will go into the pantry when the labels are dry), more paperwork dealt with and onions cooking for tea

In the HHC I -
Cleared DD's floor of the entire contents of her toy box:rolleyes:
Put the door back on her dolls house, which is a HHC in itself :rotfl:
Cleaned her window
Gathered yet more dirty washing together
Ummm, Ummm........
Put the clean washing away and snaffled a bit of dinner..still hungry though:o
Her room just needs hoovering and a swish and swipe now. Will do that while she's in the bath. Then onto DS bedroom, which isn't that bad at all actually:D Since we've swapped them over it's so much easier to keep them tidy.
Oh keep meaning to post the piccy's of the rooms............ if you want to see them, remind me tomorrow.0
