What a lovley surprise! I have a friend who was recently very ill. I did her a few favours and she's just popped by with some cranberry brownies (with brandy in them
). They are lush, and it makes me possibly think there maybe something in that karma thingy after all  :rotfl:

Just realised before placing my order on Amazon that they add the VAT on at the checkout so the prices I thought I would pay were not correct - need to check with the other sites now. Have they always done that?
Ignore the above - being stupid and not realised that the total was the same just above it showed without VAT and VAT separateThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Hi Sarah thanks for asking, my appointment is on the 9th, so I am just pacing myself really, don't feel great, but tend to just get on with it, although the size of my tummy is rather limiting at times....feels like I am pregnant:rotfl:

I'm stuck on ideas for DS2 for christmas. You'd think I would know what kind of stuff to get a 2 year old, thing is he already has most of it passed down from his big brother.
Any ideas?
I've got my 2 year old mainly arts and craft stuff. A big roll of paper, paints, glue etc. I also got him some play tins of food and a pots and pans set - cheap in ASDA. He also has a few books. We are not going too mad this year as we have a house full of toys. My mum and dad are buying him a ride on tractor for outside. It doesn't help that it was his birthday in October, and we got him a bike, and everyone went mad on in the night garden stuff, and a pop up tent, and sticklebrick, and a train set. I dread to think when DS2 gets to that age. :eek:0 -

I've never noticed that before. Maybe it's because of the reduction today and they need time to set it all up properly again.0 -
amazon wasn't doing that yesterday when i ordered stuff from them, although it advised you to put a code in to only charge 15% vat. I guess they are sorting themselves out today.0

A lot of sites that deal internationally show the VAT calculation at the checkout as they also mail to those who don't pay VAT

Penny how lovelypaying it forward as they say, I need to do some of that today
PHEW!!! All the photos off the laptop (inc all our holidays ones) and my xmas lists are all on the NAS drive, so broken laptop doesn't mean loosing everything this time

Kaz, hugs for you.
Summermoon - Wilkos had some Thomas stuff reduced, plus 25% off the toys if there is one near you. Home and Bargains may have a few bits too. Our local Toymaster had a really huge take along thomas set for £30. Just choose up front if you are going for take along, wooden or road and rail as they don't work together.
Just started to snow here, bitterly cold. Jobs that must be done before school run at 3:
DW empty and refill (or no plates for tea)
WM on (or no pj's!)
Sort plastic recycling to take
collect parcel from post office
Buy some logs so the boys don't freeze too
Hide the presents I bought this morning
Find the decorations so they can do the play room tree when they get back

Good luck with that hunny, when my gall stones first flared up I looked like I was expecting. My waist was at 43 inch so I can sympathise with you on that one. Luckily now though mine has gone down to 36inch phew. Anyways sorry ranting on me sen, good luck.

You are all wonderful, thank you so much for the hugs and kind words, it means a lot to me.
Sadly they are about 140 miles away from me down in Somerset, as he moved down there to retire, just spoken to his daughter, (my 2nd cousin I think) they are just so upset, I might pop (!) down there this weekend, I don't really have the time, but what I was going to do this weekend will just have to wait.

For my sort of adoptive grandson (5) I have bought a load of glue, paper, glitter, cotton wool, and colouring crayons, and one of those large colouring books but with Christmas pages in it, I just so know he will love this as he loves to cut, stick and colour, so it should keep him busy, and he has LOADS of toys / games etc.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
