ooh I cant bear Diana, she irritates me with the hand movements. I do like Alex and JLS though
Lesley I had a pile of ironing similar to yours yesterday, managed to climb it eventually0 -
I liked Ruth a lot and I used to like Diana but she is just the same every week, so a bit boring now. I like JLS and Alex. Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday. We had roast pork as it is my husbands favoiurite. Those picked bum sounds funny, I bet my daughter would like to make them for her school friends. Oh well, better get back to the kids, they want pancakes for tea.0

Back again...
Thank you all for the birthday wishes, had a nice chilled day. Popped over to see my aunt this morning for a couple of hours, then home to watch Mamma Mia (twice, the sing-a-long version the second time!) and had a cream tea & cakes here with my mum.
Also been very OS & made Rocky Road, lemon drizzle cake & lemonade scones to take into placement/work with me tomorrow - I was really suprised & pleased to get a bagful of lovely smellies from the team I am with, and didn't expect it at all as I've only been there 4 weeks. So I thought I would bake some goodies in return....
Thank you Redruby for the virtual CathKidston bag too - very thoughtful!!!
Will be having a bath using some of said lovely smellies very soon.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -

This thread is quiet today. I hope you're all just busy, and not poorly or anything else horrible.
Today, I did the ironing, did a freezer inventory (I am gobsmacked by what is in there - enough food for about 2 months!), made lamb and veg stew for ds, portioned and froze it, moved my little sofa in front of the french windows to alleviate some of the draught (will be taping up the keyhole tomorrow too, I have forgotten until now), helped ds decorate his mini Christmas tree for his bedroom, and genereally cleaned and tidied up.
I am also teaching ds (aged 4) to play snakes and ladders. He loves it, and we have been experimenting with using various small plastic toys as counters. If anyone else is thinking of anything similar, I can recommend the set sold by Toys R Us, which has a sturdy wooden board, perfect for small, eager but sometimes clumsy hands.
My car windscreen is frozen already. I must remember to allow for defrosting it tomorrow morning.
Take care all of you.0 -
Cranky40 - I saw a good tip on one of the other boards about draughts and keyholes, the suggestion was to stick a fridge magnet onto it to stop the cold air coming in and save gumming up the keyhole.
