Good morning everybody,
Very cold here to-day, have just cooked bacon and sausage, will do eggs and fried bread when Ulick comes back from the shop...cat, dog and DGS2 have all been fed.
Really need to clean en suite in her room before DD2 comes on Wednesday, hoover and put up new nets....bought 2 years ago in IKEA in Holland for silly money but never put up...after a few washes I will hate them and leave off nets for another while.
Think we are having homemade pizza for dinner, there is some leek and potato soup left over from yesterday and I just might make a pudding!
Have a nice day all

Morning all,
Happy St Andrews Day
Happy Birthday Squiggly
I am having real trouble sleeping at the moment. I think it is because my bedroom is so cold.Anyway, when I get my new bed, I am going to get an electric blanket (yes, an extravagance, I know)
I missed my eye test yesterday, as there was roadworks, traffic and no parking spaces . After all that palava, I spent a good couple of hours in the library, found some great books.
Anyway, today I'm going to (hopefully) do some Ebay listing, make Weetabix Brownies and possibly something involving bananas (will check the recipe index for inspiration).
Plus, make a few New Years Resolution and work on my book journal which I am making.
have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Morning all
Happy Birthday Squiggly   :j :T , am sending you a virtual Kath K bag. Hope you have a good day xx
Aussie, sounds like you had a good laugh, I love it when that happens.
Well I have just managed to get three teenage girls off of the lounge floor and up to get dressed  , they have managed in the night to rip the curtain rail off of the wall, and a load of plaster has come down  , so OH is trying to fix it.
Roast chicken today, with roasties, (churchie I also bought goose fat for the xmas spuds, but you have got me tempted now), with sprouts, cauli and carrots.
I have to take the girls back before lunch, so peace will return :T .
OS today will be cooking dinner, a wash and a quick tidy, I dont like to do much house work on sundays, as its a family day for us. Will also get the dog out for a walk at some point.
Have good days all xx0 -

DD1 had a sleepover lastnight and i have just turfed them out of the living room so i could get on the 'puter
they are now huddled in the dining room eating bagels with bacon
MSD I think pickled bums are cotton wool balls covered in some tights shaped to a 'bum 'shape you can sew a crack in too:rotfl:then they are pushed in to a jam jar and they look like a jar of pickled bums! you can also omit the crack and add googly eyes to make faces, and even shape them into willies , hence a jar of pickled people!:rotfl:
BTW glad you enjoyed your trip/ mcdonalds
happy birthday Squiggly  hope you have a great day, my uncles birthday too today
steak for lunch with mash green beans and peas, i just caught a bit of saturday kitchen and the chef made a whisky cream sauce to go on steak looked scrummy so think i'll have a go using brandy as dont have any whisky
hope everyone has agreat day xx0 -
Morning :hello:
Its cold and frosty here as well today, I've put the heating back on, I cant stand it too cold as it starts my joints aching and when they start up it seems to take ages to settle down again.
We are off out for lunch today, well not exactly Lunch we are all meeting at 3:15 at a lovely pub/restaurant, for our annual Christmas Meal.
By we, I mean OH's 2 Brothers and their wives, we all get on extremely well.
I had the idea a few years ago, that instead of buying each other gifts (never knew what to get anyway) we could all meet up and go out for a slap-up Christmas Lunch.
It works out very well and we all enjoy it
I will just do us a ham sandwich or something in a bit as I dont want to ruin my appetite, we had porridge for brekkie with sultanas, just right for this weather.
Must do some Hob-nobs as DS2 is coming tonight and he always asks for some, as usual I havent any done, they just disappeared out of the tin:rolleyes:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Squiggly :bdaycake:
Hugs if you need one , hope all those with cold/flu feel better today x
enjoy your days everyone
Anne

Good afternoon peeps
Happy Birthday Squiddly :bdaycake: _party_ _party_ _party_ have a wonderful day!
Well i`m at w*rk and i`ve finally managed to have a sit down, the office was filthy so i`ve spent all morning scrubbing it, lets see how long it stays clean.
Hope it`s a good while but i won`t hold my breath
Speaking of breath it actually hurt to breathe when i first got outside this morning  it was incredibly cold and it took a good 15 minutes to scrape all the ice off the car and ready to leave, this is the worst it has been so far and i thought that it was supposed to be a bit warmer today.
I`m cream crackered now and probably won`t feel like doing any hw when i get home later today.
I made a big pan of soup with leftover veggies last night so instead of slaving over a hot stove we shall have that for dinner - or rather supper with some freshly made rolls.
DH is at the supermarket and has taken my Dad to do his weekly shop so most things are done and dusted today.
Tomorrow i need to have a good clean in the lounge ready for the Christmas decs to go up, we usually wait until after Dad`s Birthday on the 7th but i need to do some reorganising of the furniture so i shall start the cleaning early, it will be much easier once all the furniture is in the new places.
Off back to the grindstone now
Have a good day everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Afternoon Everyone
Just back from Tesco's and Mass
Its my MD's first communion next June so she's in the middle of her sacramental programme in preparation for it.
Had to nip to Tesco as I forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer for tonights tea:mad: So got a fresh one, some mince and some bacon in their 3 for a tenner promotion.
I've got a pile of ironing thats so high that I'm tempted to stick a flag on the top:rotfl: Its got to be done today though as its mainly uniforms that I need for next week.So the crafting with the kids I was planning to do this afternoon will have to wait.We were going to make glittery snowflakes for the xmas tree. We'll do it next week.We did manage to get the Christmas Cards made yesterday though and all they need now are 'Merry Christmas' stickers on the top and then I can write them out
Its definitely brass monkey weather here and despite the many layers I put on the kids for the walk to mass they were still cold.I have heard that its supposed to stay like this till Tuesday.I dread to think what my heating bill will be like this time:rolleyes:
PP didnt read the end of yesterdays OS daily but glad to see you back
MSD-Sorry I wasnt a big fan of Ruth all the screaming, and hair and skirt swishing got right on my nerves.I dont think she should have gone though as I think for some reason the judges have turned against Diana and to stop the poor little poppet constantly being picked at by Simon and Louis I thought it would have been better if she'd been voted off
