My guess is that either the original person with the CD, or the person they gave it to, got it wrong, misheard, whatever.

Don't think so. I cannot get in contact with the person that it is for until tommorrow so I will know then but I am almost certain.

The person who owns the cd wants to give a copy of it to the person who contacted me. Their cd will play in a digital compact disc player but the one I copied will not play in the player but it will on the computer.

Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong or how can I get a copy of it?
  • if you did a straight disk to disk copy, then try reducing the burn speed from the 48x (or thereabouts) default, to as low as possible.
Might also be poor quality media, or the player just 'doesn't play copies', the old multichanger in my car was like that, and my caravan radio/cd is the same :(

Did you write it as an audio CD or a data CD?

I'm not exactly clear on what you've done, so could you perhaps give a bit more detail as to how you copied the CD?

It was a while ago so I don't remember although I do know I need to get it copied again. The problem now is how do I copy it so the player will play it? :o:confused:
  • you could try this, though I use nero, so never tried it

You need to import the files onto your computer using something like iTunes or Windows Media Player. For the best quality, import then as WAV files. Then in whatever application you're using, you need to write them as an audio CD.

disk to disk copy, if you only have 1 drive the software should save an (ISO or similar) image on the hard drive
