High street booming

Well, the queues in the newly opened Poundland stretched around several aisles.

Apart from that nobody seemed to be buying anything.

    So people are still mewing?
After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?

98.15 is what my monthly tube ticket costs.
What a rip off, but not as bad as the trains.

Anyone picking up any bargains at Woolworths?

He just got in and has just had the busiest Saturday (T/0 wise) in weeks......and all I did was potter about here looking for answers (and just found arguments ;-( ), wash the bathroom floor, swam 50 lengths (except competitive man ( 3 of the !!!!!!s)were at the pool who really like to play beat the woman....but, generally I am faster but I do it slyly and calmly ;-) These private clubs so have the wrong type in them...... )

And I did budgets for all our diff life choices at the moment...I should have gone and spent the day in the shop instead....and I should have done some pattern grades too.

DD went to Portsmouth Quays clearance shopping centre and is full of buzzz...OMG she got a branded shirt for ONLY £22  Teenage eeek BTW AND it WOOOULD have been £60 except it was in clearance...and I am a good mother. I look at the made in label and say nothing (cos it cost about £2.50 ex factory far, far away...but I say nothing)

Bought 3 children's pressies in Woollies this afternoon. It was packed with people as was the rest of the town centre. Didn't notice big price reductions but some were knocked down a bit.

The guy on the till was very friendly. Said he's worried, but they are all waiting and hoping that a saviour might turn up after Christmas.
