Bought jacket, now reduced by £45, claim difference from the Credit Card company?

I could understand if this bandwagon published a voucher code for people to use to get say 10 or 20% off a purchase, which would be quote "Money Saving" un-quote, taking the item back because they reduced the price is a little sadistic, I mean come on can you imagine the detrimental effect this would have more so on the small retail business if everybody tried this little trick? Don't agree with it and it should be banned before it is abused.

I once purchased a brand new car (many years ago before my money saving days). It was a Vauxhall Astra GTE.

This was during the recession of the early 90s and a few months later Vauxhall started offering £2000 cashback on this particular model.

You can imagine how I felt seeing that. Well I complained to Vauxhall customer services and they agreed to send me £1500 cashback because my purchase had been so close to the start of the promotion.

If you don't ask you don't get.

Well that is different Nick, big company, big item...they could afford to bend the rules for the odd customer, but small retail business could be bankrupt by this type of behaviour, what ever happened to shopping around for stuff? Oh I forgot people have lost touch with life in general, if they make a mistake they blame somebody else and go after them for compo, tut silly me.

To OP I have personally checked the website - that particular jacket is now up in price by £50 due to an overwhelming demand from an internet forum board members. Anyone who got the jacket at a previous reduced price are asked to return to the shop to pay the difference immediately!
