PC World- changes in prices for 1TB storage unit

Hi All
I wanted to get some advice.
I bought 1TB of storage from PC world exactly two weeks ago (so I'm still in my returns period) for £89.99.
Watching the TV today, I see it has changed to £79.99 (a difference of £10).
I know that there are a couple of shops who refund the difference if the price changes within two weeks, I've called PC world and they said 'NO we don't do it'. I have asked them to check and call me back, but I'm sure they'll ignore my request.
Has anyone encountered this before, and successful got the difference refunded?
Thanks

I wouldn't have thought so.Would you be prepared to pay them the £10.00 if it went up.0
-
Exactly, I wouldn't - so that is why I'm questioning why I can't return it with 14 days of purchase.
Gap will refund the difference if the price changes within 14 days, as you are still under their return policy, which is why I'm questioning PC World.0 -
Did you use the collect at store option to purchase the item.0
-
If you had the HHD delivered then you can return it under their 14 day offer if it is still in an as new condition (inc packaging), if you've formated it, then hard luck.

anytime within 7 days you can bring your receipt back in and would be refunded the difference. Unfortunately after 7 days its down to managers discretion. If there is no fault with the product, you cant really do a refund/resale. Depends what your local store is, our local PC World are usually happy to do it, within reason!

I bought it in store, and I tried to haggle with the guy there, but he said that would be the lowest it went for, so it is annoying to see it change its prices so quickly.
I have emailed PC World and I will see what they say.
Thanks for all your advice and comments!0 -

How much time, effort and money have you spent so far, trying, with miniscule prospect of success, to recoup £10 ?
Next instalment: how I bought 80 litres of petrol last month but the price has gone down and BP won't refund me the difference - this is outrageous!
What planet are you on?
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

i`ve just had a look cause that price was cheap, but noticed it is now back up to £89.99 oh it might have been £79.99 if you bought off the web, and collected in store.0

There's nothing like a good rant, is there! But to save yourself from the pedants, it helps if you can spell minuscule.0
