Hi Out there,

I have very bad credit and a pay as you go phone

Is there any company that would give me a contract phone with my bad credit?

Is there ant way at all around this?

Yes there is. But you may have to pay them a deposit first. It could be around £150, which they hold for 12 months. Then they refund it to you, providing you have paid your bills of course.

You could try any of the service providers. Look at the Carphone Warehouse website on this link:

You will see the offer for the Nokia 7600 on the 3 network for £4.99 per month for 12 months. That gives you 500 minutes anytime to any mobile network and landlines, and 100 texts per month. Apply for it online and Carphone Warehouse will probably mail you back and tell you that the network want some money upfront as security before they will go ahead and despatch it to you. You can get upto another £20 refund from Carphone Warehouse if you have an existing phone, charger and instruction manual to return to them.

I know somebody who this happened to recently; that's how I know it is possible.

HI sorry to be a pain again! thanks for help re contract mobile.
I have recently applied for a contract with both 3 and orange and was turned down because of my credit!

They did not offer me one with a security deposit. Is this something that I would have to ask for in particular

Your credit rating must be really bad then I guess.

Anyway, why don't you try the Carphone Warehouse link as I advised. Order the Nokia 7600 on the £4.99 offer and see what happens. They can only refuse, can't they?
