HELP PLEASE!
I have mobile phone insurance with my barclays bank account and have just put a claim in for my 3 month old sony ericsson c902 limited edition red-red being the problem.
My insurance company services is now telling me after losing my pride and joy (c902 red) they can send me a new phone, but they cannot send me the red one so i'll have to have a black one. If it's not enough that i've lost my phone, I now have to make do with a black one-can anybody tell me if I have to accept the black phone?

It may well do but mobile phones are chosen not only for their functionality but also their stylesarahg1969 wrote: »Surely it will do the same job?
If you had a black jumper and the insurance company wanted to replace with a multi coloured jumper would you accept?
Id contact them and say its not acceptable - can you find the colour you want elsewhere?0 -
Thanks Gazza, I have contactacted them and they said that my policy doesn't cover colour and it is just cosmetic and they say that they are offering me the same make and model.
I have found the same phone as mine on the internet, which is the same price as the black one, so I am goin to complain stating that I was never told about the colour issue when taking out the insurance as I would have takan my mobile phone insurance with my service provider.
Wish me luck!0 -
why would I have chosen the red one if i wanted a black one????sarahg1969 wrote: »Surely it will do the same job?0 -
are there racist under-tones to this thread?
sorry if i'm wrong, but what's wrong with a black one? would you feel just as strongly if it was a white one?0 -
Possibly the most ridiculous post I've ever read on MSE, and the bar was pretty low already.JonBoy_SCFC wrote: »are there racist under-tones to this thread?0 -

I think you mean "write" as into put something down in a text rather than "right" as in a direction or opinion.
I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Anyone who is bothered about the colour of their mobile phone should be ethnically cleansed
