  • All Sony laptops are downgradable to XP... with a little innovation.

    Sony don't provide the drivers, but they're all reasonably standard pieces of equipment and the job can be done with a little hunting.

    So far there is no way of stopping the screen from displaying at full brightness.
    Not really acceptable .So as yet not downgradable
  • I would never pay over the odds just because something has a sony badge on it. All computer parts are generic far east products anyway.

    A friend of mine has had no end of trouble with his Vaio.
