    Thanks everyone,

Have loads of ideas now (feel free to post more though)

My lot have a habit of waking in the night so stockings will be staying downstairs, on Christmas morning if the baby wakes me before they get up I will move them into their bedrooms.

I cant wait :D I love seeing their faces on Christmas morning, couple of years ago an elf came in and left new PJ's in the hall while they were in the bath on xmas eve, they still go on about it now ;)

My son who is 1 is getting chocolate coins, drawing book, crayons and a satsuma.
  • I lie awake all night anyway and only fall asleep at about 10am when I need to start the kitchen shift LOL

Anyway when I decide it is time to get up because I am too exited I put the stockings at the end of the beds, sneak downstairs to make coffee and put Mum & Dads stocking at he end of their bed (sofa bed in playroom) then get back into bed jingling bells untill the kids hear them.

AND THEN ITS TIME! WOO HOO (I am 36. How Sad)
  • Would love to know SugaJen what goes into your littlest one's baby stocking - sounds really sweet!? Hope it all goes really well (don't know how you have the energy to go shopping at all!). I think the nicest thing I read for me was just before doing a birthday party - that the idea is for them to get really excited & have a lot of fun whether or not everything else goes to plan!!! Anyway I think we're all hoping it goes really well for you all after a tough year.
  • Really sorry to hear SugaJen that it's been such a difficult year - I think we're all rooting for it to go really well for you over Christmas. icon11.gif Would love to know what's in your littlest one's baby stocking - sounds really sweet!? My eldest will be having a stocking ("as she is 4 & 4 year olds are old enough to have one!") but LO (20months) won't. This is to give us an extra 20mins or so in bed when she wakes up all excited. LO is too young to understand & will wake at her normal time.

I got most of the stocking filers for my 2DS ( 10 & 7 ) in the boots sale in January - They have, maglite torches ( they always get a torch in their stocking), booklites, Character toothbrishes and toothpast, Dr Who bath sets ( that will be a squeeze!), clip on pens, wiimote sweeties, Lindt mini Santa, boxers and slipper socks. We always leave them on the pile of presentt as when DS1 was about 3 he said he didnt want Santa coming into his room in the middle of the night!! We might try them in theri room this year - although the problem here isn't keeping them in their beds in Christmas morning but getting them up! Had to wake them at 9 last year as hubby and I got fed up waiting for them!

What are wiimote sweeties please? I'm guessing something to do with a Nintendo Wii?

I got them in Costco - It is a sweetie dispenser shaped like a wii remote - it is just the wee fizzy sweeties that it takes and it is abut the same size as a wiimote. I got a pack of 4 for £2.50. Thought it was quite unusual and they boys are getting band in a box for the wii this year so quite appropriate.:T
