Illegal/Legal - headlight bulbs

I have a 03 Corsa and the passenger main bulb has blown - the side light is still working fine so there is some light from the bulb. Went into Halfords to buy the bulb and get it fitted but the fitter isnt there until late on tomorrow. We took the car home and tried to replace the bulb ourselves but after an hour of…

If I've learned anything from this thread, it's that the next time I buy a car new or used, it MUST have sensibly organized maintenance for all bulbs. It will be a specific point on the check-list.

One item more of advice for OP: Once a garage gets involved, get ALL front bulbs changed even if they appear OK now, to avoid going thru this again soon.
