My house is classed as band B (Should be E by now but shhh...dont tell the council, they might re-value!)

Charges for 2005/06 were:

Council Tax:£914.67
Water: £126.98
Sewage:£143.50
Total:£1,185.15

If they re-value all the properties, mine would go up to £1,862.37 :rolleyes:

I'm in a band A and pay £784 (minus 25% single person discount)

Thanks for this thread skintchick, have just checked and mine is over 10 months so £118 free money to go to debts.

Mines is band C and is £1264.68, just phoned them and yes mine is over the 10 months also, so have two months free, I then went onto http://www.entitledto.co.uk/ and going by them I have been entitled to £693.16 rebate a year!!! :j it may be worth others looking into.

While on the phone to the council I asked about this and they said it will not be backdated and to get my rebate form in as soon as possible, and the rebate will start from the Monday they receive the completed forms,

But it gives me a good start for next year, so I`m happy.

I am Band D (two bed terrace!) and pay £149 a month, no discount cos have a lodger. Ridiculous amount of money IMHO.
