Ok currently my 2 adorable moggies eat gourmet pearl wet (2packets each a day) and also have a bowl of iams constantly down to nibble on - they are fussy cats! Im trying to swap the Iams to a cheaper alternative and thinking maybe crunchies will work but am unsure how nutritionally good they are?
Is there also any that anyone would highly recommend?

Iams do cruel testing on animals - cats & dogs - if you look there is an article on the site that goes into graphic detail0 -
My cat eats Felix as good as it looks wet food, and ALDI's own make of dry food...it comes in 3 different flavours and she loves it.If you obey all the rules...you miss all the fun!! Katherine Hepburn0

Gourmet Pearl isn't any better (just more expensive) than other wet catfood what about:
raw
or
tinned fish for humans - like sardines or pilchards in oil?
if you mix it ie tinned fish & raw occassionally with mostly dry you will save £s0 -
It depends if you want to feed a good quality food (JWB, Burns, Natures:menu) or c!!!! (Whiskers/Felix etc). P@H do a very good own brand that's new, came out in September & they do Kitten/Adult & Senior, wet & dried. It's called Purely... not their other brands. I think natures:menu do biscuits but have a feeling they're for dogs only!
JWB tends to be excellent with cranberry for good health too I find0 -
My fussy cats love Aldi's own brand dry cat food too - I get them the kind for 'Premium Breeds' so they can feel spoilt! :rotfl:0

Not for all cats, mine can't have dried & it's caused her no end of issues0 -
we feed a mixture of dry, a bag with no name, so no help. 15kg, costs bout £15, and they also eat lidl and aldi,
didnt realise iam tested on animals( although maybe i should assume alot of place do until i find out otherwise) i used to feed it to my cats, as a chocoholic i also found out that mars do tests on animals, wont go into detail, horrific,THANKS to everyone who posts competitions. you are all :A.0 -
IAMS is made by proctor and gamble who test their products on animals, proctor and gamble also make pringles, gillette and dove and that's just for starters.
As for cat food, I feed mine James Welbeloved and Hill Science Plan. There was an article recently in Your Cat magazine about people changing their cat food brand to a cheaper brand because of the credit crunch and then cats getting ill. For me I buy them the best brand of catfood that I can but I understand that not everyone can do that. The important thing to remember is that if you feed your cats just dry food then make sure on the packet it says it's a 'complete' cat food0 -
Mine have had Tesco Cat Crunchies all their life and they are pretty healthy (11 and 12 years old) but they do also have a lot of treats - bits of salmon, tuna, ham, chicken, bacon and the occasional wet food pouch, which they love.0
