True story DE, unfortunately cannot, for once, produce photographic evidence. I often wonder if the young Inspector Richardson stuck with the job or did the monkey business prove too much for him. One night a colleague and I went to see the same lady for payment of a warrant. "Look at me new water bed" she said. Me and my mate sat on it whilst she got the warrant money.
Next night me and same colleague were on duty stood outside the roughest pub in town, at kicking out time, with our Inspector, when Elsie ran from the premises, steaming drunk over to us, shouting, "They're the two that were on my bed when I paid them for fine." You should have seen the look the boss gave me.
