Blimey! Is this thread still going? Judging by recent posts everyone seems to have resolved their original angsts and resorted to post-stress bonhomie. Long may it continue!

Well, mine took a bit longer to resolve due to intransigence of Natwest and a week's much-needed ski therapy in the Alps, but glad to finally report as of today, a back-dating of ISA interest plus compensation for grief, making a useful contribution to aforementioned therapy.
