Totally off-topic, but my tip of the week - I've been saying it for years, you CAN use warm water to defrost your windscreen; even the AA spokesman on Brekky News said so. :p I've never broken a window this way, just saved loadsatime....
But don't try boiling water!

I thought you lot had nowhere to park. Did the warm water not freeze over by the time you got there.:rotfl:

LOL! I take the train every day! But yes, my wife will trek over to her car with a 1/3 bucket of water and drench the passing pedestrians ;) And we don't get the -10C you get "up north" - famous last words !
Meeting the council tonight to see if they'll poll residents for a 10:00-11:00 no waiting restrictions to get rid of those pesky commuter cars

    Morning all.

The sun has come out now after a truly nasty, rainy early morning.

Happy to report cheque to Kent Reliance has cleared as of this morning. That's fewer variable savings rates to worry about now.

    Have a good day everyone.

You sound like an Eco Warrior, why not go the whole hog, and use urine, it's less wasteful and much less likely to refreeze. How I'd like to see an AA spokesman demonstrate this technique on TV. ;) :rotfl:

De-stress thinking of the ISA rates you will encounter after receiving your certificate from FSCS - try finding a new home for your Icesave savings. Today BOE expected to reduce the bank rate by another 1%, some pundits predicting a drop of 1 and 1/2%.
Should be able to get 0.00001% on ISA if we get the certificates before Xmas.
  • can I join too please? My money cleared yesterday yey!!!!!!!:T Now just waiting for the ISA certifiacte so I can re-invest. Will only have lost what three months interest at the end of it all;) .
