sorry, wasn't that big until committed (oh matron)! By the way, just noticed that the female path was realistic enough to include "bed" as the initial target!

I sent it off as soon as I got it, but I opted to let my fixed rate bond mature. Am tempted just to put cash under the mattress, at least I know that won't collapse overnight (at least I hope not...) :rotfl:

Pleased for you and the others who have reported getting cheques for FRBs..... But still steaming with FSCS for messing up big time with two easy access accounts.

Still no use fretting now. At least I know I'm in the system. I wasn't even sure of that until yesterday.

  • Hello, You all seem to know each other, and you all seem to have your money back. I decided to leave mine in till end of fixed term, which is 31 Jan, after they told me that I would get my money back 6 weeks after they processed the paper form. However they have now told me that the 6 weeks starts AFTER the end of the fixed term. If I had known this I wouldn't have left it in so it's annoying, but this latest round of bank colllapse makes me think that, if they have to reimburse all of RBS customers also etc etc etc, then I won't be getting my money back after all. My own fault for not taking it straight away, but who knows what to do these days? Is anyone else in this situation and thinking the same thing? Has anyone got their money back after the end of a fixed term, and if so, how long did it take?
I have other money in NS and I, but if we go bankrupt as a country, will I lose this money to, does anyone know?
    Sorry to gatecrash the party.

We tend to just get involved in general chat and detective work on this thread but try the following threads. There are a lot of people in your position having problems with the fixed rate paper applications as you will see. Lots of these on these threads
