I'm trying to find a place to stay near Rome for 10 days in the summer. All the prices quoted are in Euros.

Does anyone think there is a chance the pound will rise in the next few months? In which case I will leave it till later to book. st - you seem to be an expert. ;)

No, he wasn't whinging about that. He objected to someone's post that putting money in Icesave was tantamount to gambling, and was called a cretin for that!

Just tell them you'll never get it serviced with them again unless they extend by a month.

if I knew that Oq I would be happy --ok £ has rallied following the cut in interest rates and is around effective 1.11 last week was 1.05 so a little rise .
The ECB has not reduced rates so Euroland risk of inflation and weakening of the Euro --I got 1.07 week before xmas on selling € --TBH difficult I personally would buy say 1/3 of your requirements now and then jsut keep a watching brief on the market data -I believe it will myself it will settle around 1.15-1.20 in next 1-2 months .
THIS INFORMATION IS GIVEN WITH RISK AS ST IS NOT A MEMBER OF FSA
