Can someone explain to me the POINT of ads like (e.g. laser eye replacement) which say "nothing to pay for 2 years and then 2 years interest free credit"...I get the interest-free bit but as for deferment, why-oh-why do people think they'll be better off in 2 years than they are now! It must tap in to the underlying british sense of optimism....

Moaning all!
Shopping this morning in Sunny Scunny. Have decided to buy a deep fat fryer. We had one until we got a new kitchen 18 months ago " Dump it. It looks scruffy. Spoils the faux granite work tops" So since that fateful day I have been forced to endure oven chips. Anyone ever had a decent oven chip....I think not. Doctor won't be too happy already on cholesterol tabs, but hey you only live once. In fact s*d it! I'll get a new frying pan while I'm at it.

By heck you're making me hungry, haven't had proper fried chips prepared from own potatoes for ages!
I'll wager it won't be mash potato tonight?

The OH looked into it (through squinted eyes). £395 per eye you're joking! More like £1,500 per eye, It's getting a very competitive business I'm waiting until it's buy one get one free, Until then she'll have to do with milk bottle bottom glasses and the white stick.
