Ok folks and folkesses, now is a good time to check that the important security update has made it into your Internet Explorer (I know MS published it cos I've just updated mine).

What you need to do is:-

    1. Click Start then Programs, then Windows Update

    2. Click on View update history and make sure that "Security Update for Internet Explorer 7 for Windows Blah (KB960714)" appears. The important bit to look for is the code KB960714. If present and correct then STOP, you're protected.

    3. If not protected, you probably have "automatic updates" switched off. So click on "Changes Settings" and click "Install updates" (next to big green tick). Note that if you have a slow connection and don't have infinite patience, you may wish to select "check for updates but let me decide whether to update them" and make sure you answer yes to KB960714!

    All done, Sir!
Mine wasn't included in automatic updates either.
Does it mean I can lower my security settings again?

My only 2 soaps ever: Dallas and Brookside!
Plenty of daft stuff on even now...take (literally) "Apparitions" with Martin Shaw...actually he's meant to be a mature lady's pin-up. Elegant beard, ladies?
Don't faint - I'm off to do some work ...

    Work? What's that?!

Actually, I agree about Martin Shaw (that must mean I'm a mature lady  ). My mother took me to see 'Streetcar' at the theatre when I was a teenager. Claire Bloom was Blanche and Martin Shaw Stanley. Phwooar!

Damn! I've just found out that for the last 3 months whilst I've been mucking about on here interests rates have dropped over 5%. Anyone know of a decent finance forum?
