BT Broadband - can I get out of contract

Hello
Moved into a new house with no telephone line last year so was forced to have installation by BT and as consequence have telephone and internet through BT.
Telephone line rental is £14.99 per month
Internet is £24.99 a month.
Have recently seen comparable packages at much lower prices (e.g. Tiscalli broadband and telephone for £19.99 per month).
Am I stuck with my BT internet for 12 months or is there any way I can get out of contract?

your stuck for 12 months - unless BT allow you to either pay the activation fee (£40+VAT) or the rest of your contract ~£225ish if your still in your 1st month0
