Popped into Mr T last night for some milk and glace cherries and ended up spending £6!!!
But it was all for a good cause (tissues, oranges, etc - anything to help shift this cold!) Also my shampoo was very cheap so stuck a bottle in the basket. So it all adds up!0 -
Hi all
Mrs Mc I spent £97.43 on my weekly total.

Anyone know who sells cheapest free range turkey? As that will be huge expense this month.
Hi gailey - Asda have been running a TV Advert saying that their Fresh Free Range Turkeys will be in Store from 19th December prices FROM £18 but doesn't say what weight that is for. HTH.
Made some "Xmas Pud Ice cream" today, another recipe from Delia Smith's Xmas book, I just love the book as it's full of delicious recipes and even nicer pictures, and thought this Ice Cream would make a nice alternative to those who don't like Xmas Pudding.
Has anyone else started baking/cooking for Xmas?
Dinner tonight is Tuna Pasta bake, jacket potatoes and salad. Not doing pudding tonight as I've made some more Mince Pies so shall have some with a nice cuppa.:D"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Have spent a mint in Tesco and morrisons today, on all xmas drinks and food, but when I deduct the xmas pressies it comes to £95 so not bad really for all drinks and food etc. Will prob need to do a little shop before xmas but am going out xmas day so don't need to bother then:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Well I am struggling to keep up on here but I have managed to keep a track of what I am spending (this is my first month) and so far so good just gotta try and keep within budget now!!
I got all giddy last night when I called into Tescos with my sister and managed to get loads of reduced items to go in my freezer. Some reduced fat sausages were reduced from £1.88 to £1.34 and I picked up 4 packs then went to look around elsewhere and walked past the reduced bit again a bit later and saw a memeber of MRt staff there so I went to have another look and they were reducing the sausages further so I got them for 94p instead was really pleased and went on about it a bit too much to DH last night, he thinks I have lost the plot!! lol :rotfl:Following :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -

Hi guys, just in to confess that it's not looking good for my December budget, as I now have only £7.61 left to last me until New Year if I'm to keep within my £1200 for the year budget. Despite every conceivable space within the vicinity of the kitchen being full of food, the small, everyday costs are mounting up - almost £5 for a loaf of bread, milk and 8 rolls! (Can you tell someone else went to the shop?) I'm thinking that I'll soon be dipping into other budgets and doing some financial juggling if I don't get the cooker wired in soon, or else I need to try baking bread in my mini-oven, which I still haven't attempted. Perhaps that's a job for this evening, as the mini-oven could double up as an extra heater. :rotfl:
Hope everyone is doing OK and apologies for not being up to date with this thread.I reserve the right not to spend.

Would you mind letting us know how you get on with the BM please? I have an old Russell Hobbs one that needs a new paddle but with the paddle costing half as much as the Tesco BM I'd rather get the new machine given the choice.
Thanks,
Al x
